Flyfishing day trips nearby

• Pecos River (lower and upper) - north of Pecos, NM. Contains some special trout waters
• Jemez River - north of Jemez Springs, NM
• East Fork Jemez (lower and upper) - north of Jemez Springs, NM. Popular to hike upstream from Battleship Rock. The more you hike, the more fun the fishing can be. When you are up in the canyon on this stream, you're guaranteed to forget that there is desert nearby.
• San Antonio (lower and upper) - north of Jemez Springs, NM. The far northen portion of this stream is a rough drive, but is rewarding in that the meadow fishing is nice.
• Guadalupe - west of Jemez Springs, NM. Contains a trophy Trout section.
• Comanche Creek - feeds the Guadalupe, fun little creek to fish in a large meadow
• The San Juan - northwest New Mexico...it's a long drive, but it's world-famous
